  • One to one instructional assistant to a 6th grade student assisted with classwork, helped complete homework/assessment assignments, regularly met with the Child Study Team, attended IEP meetings, and communicated with the guardian

  • Instructional assistant in a 7th grade ELA class and 8th grade Science/Social Studies class working with the general education teacher to facilitate lessons, grade assessments, and design projects.

  • One to one instructional assistant to an 8th grade student assisted with keeping him on task for classwork and homework assignments and completed a daily chart regarding his behaviors and work ethics throughout the day which I created. Reports were analyzed and discussed weekly with the Child Study Team.

  • Completed weekly reports on students in a program called Effective School Solutions (ESS) and worked with counselors in the program to aid behavioral students in achieving their personal and educational goals

  • Long term substitute for 7 weeks in a 6th grade ELA classroom writing lessons aligned with the Common Core Standards, generating formative and summative assessments, creating and grading students against rubrics for writing assignments/projects, writing modifications/accommodations for students with specified IEPs and 504s, and collaborating with other ELA colleagues on lesson planning and goals for students
